Patricia is 1 of 11 girls at FreeForm that will becompeting in the figure/fitness model/bodybuiling show in Ottawa on November 7th. We feel that most gym's don't recognize the people that decide to take it to the next step. We personally know how much dedication and commitment this takes so we want to recognize those athletes the most we can. So let's start with Patricia.
Who is Patricia?
I'm a 28 year old municipal worker, I host fantastic parties for my great group of friends and my cardio buddy is a 2 year old Miniature Pinscher named Popple!
What influenced you to do this?
When fellow Free Form Fitness members Melissa and Cherie won 1st and 2nd in their first competition, I wanted to try! (as well as Chelsea's influence of doing so well the past 3 years)
Why do you want to do it?
A new goal in life to attain! To say I got up on stage in a BIKINI is scary!
Have you competed in any other sport? I showed competitively in equestrian events since I was 13 years old, so I have the determination to stick to hard work!
What's your favorite cheat food?
Reese Peanut Butter Cup Dairy Queen Blizzard, with cookie dough on top! I will be eating one immediately following this competition!
What's your favorite body part to train?
What is your mind set right now?
I really want that Blizzard!! The diet is the hardest part! Thankfully, FreeForm has a bunch of great ladies that are participating, so we are really encouraging each other on!!! Training is fun and challenging, and I always look forward to getting my new workouts.
What do you expect to get out of this challenge?
Not only do I want to make this a lifestyle change, but I am hoping to learn from my first event and compete again in the Spring to see how much I've improved. The main goal I'm trying to attain for this event, is just to get experience on stage. It will be a huge accomplishment to even have enough courage to be on stage with such fine athletes!
What do I want to say to the readers of this newsletter?
This goal that I'm striving to attain has so many more benefits than just the competition. I have a high risk of osteoporosis in my family and weight training is the best way to fight it! Why not do something terrific for your health and get the added bonus of showcasing your hard work by entering a competition!
Stay tuned on our blog were you get to meet our 10 (yes 10!!) other women competing on November 7th. We will feature their progression pictures (those who want to) as they get closer towards the show. We might even show a few video's. Exciting!!
