Colin Stapledon

My passion for training really began at a young age. When I was 16, I got my first set of weights for Christmas. At that moment, my home became the neighborhood spot where friends came to meet-up and train.

After years of playing competitive rep team sports, I began to train in Pro wrestling at the age of 18. Soon after, I was wrestling in wrestling promotions in Ottawa, Ontario, Quebec and northern New York State. From time to time you may still catch me in the Squared-Circle.

The risk and thrill of being a pro wrestler also came with injury. I had to take a step back and walk away as my body needed physical rehab. I needed to bring strength to my lower-back disk problems, LCL damage and a broken hand that needed major surgery. I took an interest in mobility workouts and strengthening, which taught me that the body doesn’t give up unless you do!

After making a full recovery in 2006, I got into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing and Thai kickboxing. My new love for combat sports took me to the ring; where I fought amateur boxing fights and later won several Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments.

Over the past 5 years I’ve continued to learn and develop new training skills. From body building competitions, to training and winning Track and Field Championships, to becoming a boxing coach. I have now been certified as a personal trainer looking forward to help others train and develop their own strength and goals.

Learning more is all about helping others. My goal is to share my knowledge and see others discover their own passion with fitness and health.
